Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 standards
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and resolve claim denials/rejections
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and billing records
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen practice management systems
- Analyze billing trends and recommend process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CMS guidelines and payer policies
- Proficient in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
