- Accurately process medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorizations for patient procedures
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients regarding payment issues
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation
- Analyze aging reports and implement collection strategies
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or CPC preferred
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
