Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coverage for procedures
- Follow up on unpaid claims and appeals with insurance payers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and ACA regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve billing discrepancies
- Train on Epic EHR system and billing software
Qualifications
- 1+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
