Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers using Epic and NextGen systems
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coverage before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through appeals and documentation
- Perform account receivables analysis and follow-up on overdue payments
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure coding accuracy
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle performance
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year medical billing experience with commercial insurance claims
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
