Your Role
You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of patient care, ensuring that claims are processed correctly and efficiently. We are looking for a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately verify patient demographics and insurance information to ensure proper billing protocols.
- Submit and follow up on claims with insurance carriers (Blue Cross, United, Aetna, etc.) via electronic and manual systems.
- Analyze denied or rejected claims to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage patient billing inquiries and resolve outstanding balances to maintain positive relationships.
- Reconcile accounts daily and maintain up-to-date records in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Stay updated on changing healthcare regulations, coding updates, and payer policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Billing, Coding, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- CPC, CBC, or RHIT certification is a plus but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or claims processing.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and billing software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance representatives, and internal teams.
