Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Appeal denied claims with supporting documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and coding regulations (ICD-10, CPT)
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging reports
- Communicate effectively with providers and billing staff
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate charge entry and coding
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
