Responsibilities
- Accurately process medical claims and ensure timely reimbursement
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies and patients
- Utilize billing software (Epic/NextGen experience preferred)
- Analyze and report on billing performance metrics
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CCS, or CMA) preferred
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
