Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95% accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Apply CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 codes according to AMA guidelines
- Manage denial resolution and appeals documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing protocols
- Generate monthly reports on revenue cycle performance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to clarify coding discrepancies
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CMS guidelines and payer policies
- Exceptional attention to detail with 10-key typing proficiency
- Ability to handle high-volume claim submissions daily
- Experience with denial analysis and root cause resolution
