Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Verify insurance coverage and resolve claim denials/rejections
- Manage accounts receivable and patient billing communications
- Analyze billing data for compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Collaborate with providers and insurance carriers to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems for billing documentation
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar billing software
- Deep understanding of insurance claim processes (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
