Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Manage daily front desk activities, including greeting patients warmly, answering multi-line phones, and directing inquiries promptly.
- Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring optimal provider utilization.
- Insurance & Billing: Verify patient insurance eligibility and communicate coverage details clearly. Assist with basic billing inquiries and collections.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Administrative Support: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, process faxes, and manage inventory of office supplies.
- Patient Communication: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns, updating charts, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Receptionist certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical front desk or administrative support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Practice Fusion) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, courteous demeanor.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict healthcare compliance standards.
