Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and ensure a positive first impression.
- Manage the front desk operations, including answering phones and directing calls efficiently.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the practice's calendar.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and process new patient registrations.
- Update and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collect payments and process co-pays accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical reception or administrative role.
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
