Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Patients: Provide a warm and professional welcome to all visitors and patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage Scheduling: Efficiently schedule appointments, manage patient check-ins, and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily operations.
- Front Desk Operations: Handle incoming calls professionally, answer patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department or provider.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments to ensure seamless billing processes.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and filing physical documents.
- Payment Collection: Collect copays, process payments, and prepare daily deposits with strict attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical front desk or reception role preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service and empathy.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, or Cerner) is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
