Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine medical urgency and prioritize care
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during critical moments
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Handle high-volume triage calls in emergency department settings
- Implement hospital protocols for trauma and acute medical conditions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Michigan (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/trauma nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
