Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a professional and welcoming first impression.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient medical records and demographic information.
- Schedule patient appointments via phone and in-person, coordinating seamlessly with medical providers.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and process payments and co-pays efficiently.
- Answer a high-volume multi-line phone system with a courteous and helpful demeanor.
- Handle incoming inquiries regarding services, hours, and directions with patience and professionalism.
- Assist with front-desk administrative tasks, including filing and faxing, to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical receptionist certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical front-desk or customer service role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy, high-volume medical office environment.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
