Responsibilities
- Manage the front desk operations, including greeting patients, answering phones, and directing inquiries with a professional demeanor.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and process co-pays accurately using our electronic payment systems.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone and EMR software, ensuring optimal clinic flow.
- Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of mobile medical equipment and units as required for off-site visits.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to prepare patient charts and ensure readiness for provider consultations.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance, and treatment plans with empathy and accuracy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Receptionist certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical front-desk or administrative role.
- Proficient in EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, Practice Fusion).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance procedures, and billing codes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate patient concerns.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
