Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and guide them through the intake process.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with patient examinations, prepare examination rooms, and sterilize medical equipment.
- Laboratory Tasks: Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood draws, following strict safety protocols.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and manage appointment scheduling.
- Instruction: Educate patients on medication usage and post-procedure care instructions.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of medical supplies and requisition new orders as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Certification: CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification preferred (or willing to obtain).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer literacy and comfort with electronic health records systems.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Professionalism: Clean background check and current CPR/BLS certification.
