Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to meet specific medical needs.
- Monitor Vitals: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Administer Care: Accurately administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient interactions, symptoms, and progress.
- Collaborate: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Support & Empathy: Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada.
- Graduation: Graduated from an accredited nursing program within the last 12 months (or currently completing clinicals).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Mindset: A compassionate, patient-centered approach with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
