Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed staff, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and changing dressings.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the unit.
- Participate in unit rounds, shift handovers, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for state nursing certification (RN license).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Willingness to complete new hire orientation and unit-specific training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
