Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Deliver compassionate care to patients of all ages under the supervision of experienced charge nurses and physicians.
- Vital Signs & Monitoring: Accurately assess and monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition throughout the shift.
- Medication Administration: Safely prepare and administer medications as prescribed, strictly adhering to safety protocols and hospital policy.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient interactions, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic care.
- Infection Control: Strictly follow hospital hygiene and infection prevention policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Graduation: Must be a recent graduate (within the last 12 months) from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain licensure by start date).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not mandatory for new hires.
- Academic Standing: Evidence of passing the NCLEX examination.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and a willingness to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
