Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately, timely, and legibly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families regarding medical conditions, discharge instructions, and home care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changing patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- New graduate status with a positive clinical rotation record.
- Willingness to float to different units as needed.
