Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical units under preceptor supervision
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized care plans
- Participate in 12-week residency program with specialized clinical rotations
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Complete required certifications (BLS, ACLS) within 90 days of hire
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Active Virginia RN license or eligibility
- Pass NCLEX-RN exam results
- Graduation from accredited nursing program within 12 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
