Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting) overnight
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient conditions every 2 hours
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Collaborate with nursing staff during shift change reports
- Ensure resident safety through regular room checks and fall prevention protocols
Qualifications
- Current California CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year long-term care or hospital experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours overnight
- Strong attention to detail in documentation
- Compassionate communication with elderly residents
- Availability to work every weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun)
- Pass background check and drug screening
