Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Accurately document care activities and patient observations in electronic health records
- Assist with meal service and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Support emotional well-being through patient companionship and active listening
- Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent long-term care or hospital experience
- Valid CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
- Reliable transportation for consistent night shift attendance
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
