Responsibilities
- Delight compassionate care to residents including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of medical equipment (Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs)
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations
- Support social activities and promote resident engagement during night hours
Qualifications
- Current KY CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care or hospital experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly residents
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Proficient in electronic medical documentation systems
- Background check and drug screen required
