Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist customers with questions regarding medications, insurance, and store policies.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT) is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software.
