Responsibilities
- Perform Patient Assessments: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature, during night rounds.
- Assist with Procedures: Support physicians and nurses with minor medical procedures, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, ensuring all safety protocols and documentation are strictly followed.
- Charting & Documentation: Maintain up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) with precision and speed.
- Patient Communication: Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding medications, follow-up care, and emergency procedures.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict sanitation and sterilization standards to ensure a safe environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or urgent care.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
