Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and wound care under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and vital sign monitoring
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Assist with patient triage and emergency response protocols
- Coordinate with night shift nursing staff for seamless care delivery
- Manage inventory and restock medical supplies
Qualifications
- Active California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Meditech preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes during night shift
