Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and equipment functionality
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical interventions
- Manage patient records using EHR systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and communication between departments during night shifts
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Respond to after-hours patient inquiries and triage urgent situations
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience with similar platforms)
- Strong phlebotomy skills with proven venipuncture experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to work independently and make clinical judgments during night shifts
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Flexibility to cover variable night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
