Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments per physician protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Coordinate patient flow and triage urgent overnight cases
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to cover rotating night shift schedules
