Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration under physician supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment following OSHA protocols
- Accurately document patient information in EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Assist with minor procedures and patient education materials
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and coordinate with pharmacy for restocking
- Provide exceptional patient care during overnight hours including emergency response
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure seamless patient handoffs
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shift
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Valid Illinois driver's license for potential travel between facilities
