Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient assessments, including vital signs, weight, and height measurement, with precision and care.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Manage front-desk operations, including checking patients in, updating electronic health records (EHR), and scheduling appointments.
- Draw blood, perform basic lab tests, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment to prevent infection.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding treatment plans and test results.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA or RMA certification (or eligible to obtain within 6 months).
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred, with experience in a night shift setting a plus.
- Strong computer proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Valid Illinois State Medical Assistant license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
