Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their information upon arrival to the clinic.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a calm, efficient manner.
- Perform phlebotomy and EKG testing as required by patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required for on-site duties.
