Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and verify their information upon arrival to the clinic.
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a calm, efficient manner.
  • Perform phlebotomy and EKG testing as required by patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA).
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
