Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, billing codes, and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work 8-hour weekend shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
