Responsibilities:
- Perform patient intake and accurately document medical history and vital signs.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a calm and professional manner.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, strictly adhering to safety guidelines.
- Manage patient records and electronic health records (EHR) efficiently and confidentially.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide basic health education to promote wellness.
- Collaborate with the night shift nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA.
- CPR/BLS certification required (ACLS preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
