As a Night Shift Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the care they need around the clock. You will work closely with our medical staff to streamline operations and provide a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, accurately recording medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as required.
- Manage patient charts, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and handle administrative correspondence.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, with night shift experience a plus.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Strong computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
