Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals monitoring (BP, HR, RR, Temp) and recording in the EMR system.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures during the night shift.
- Manage incoming patient calls and triage requests to ensure 24/7 accessibility.
- Process and prepare laboratory specimens for transport to the central lab.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment at all times.
- Document patient interactions, medication administration, and care plans accurately.
- Facilitate patient check-in and discharge processes efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred, preferably in an urgent care or hospital setting.
- Strong ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during night hours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and staff.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
