Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during overnight shifts, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per hospital protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage inventory and ensure supply chain efficiency for overnight operations
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of hospital-based medical assisting experience
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and compassion for diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and emergency situations
