Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, medication administration, and patient monitoring during night shifts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Supervise LVNs and CNAs while ensuring quality standards are met
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient documentation
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (RN)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years of experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department demands
