Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients during night shift hours
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and response to treatment with meticulous documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for seamless patient care coordination
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and rapid intervention
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
- Precept and mentor new nursing staff as needed
Qualifications
- Current Kentucky RN license (or compact license with KY endorsement)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
