Responsibilities
- Patient Care Delivery: Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with individualized care plans and hospital protocols.
- Vital Signs & Monitoring: Accurately assess and monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment throughout the shift.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments, ensuring proper documentation and patient safety checks.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to unit emergencies, code blue situations, and patient calls.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital hygiene and infection prevention standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license in Virginia (or compact state) required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: No prior travel experience required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, assessment abilities, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Background: Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
