Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Prepare and label blood specimens accurately according to laboratory protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during all collection procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, doctors, and laboratory staff.
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Process and deliver specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to learn new procedures and work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
