Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls using standardized protocols and clinical judgment
- Triage patients based on urgency and medical necessity per ESI guidelines
- Coordinate care between emergency departments, specialists, and primary care providers
- Document assessments and recommendations in EMR systems with 99% accuracy
- Provide clear patient education aftercare instructions and resource referrals
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams during critical situations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri (or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic proficiency with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Commitment to completing paid training program
