Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate companionship and daily living assistance including meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders
- Transport clients to appointments and social activities using reliable personal vehicle
- Monitor client health status and report changes to care coordinator
- Implement personalized care plans with attention to physical and emotional needs
- Maintain accurate care documentation and maintain client confidentiality
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or equivalent training
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly clients
- Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Basic knowledge of senior care protocols and safety procedures
