Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any deviations to the charge nurse.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
- Document daily care activities, observations, and changes in patient condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Kentucky.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
