Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility and transfer using proper techniques to prevent injuries
- Document patient care accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Support residents with medication reminders under supervision
- Foster positive social interactions through engaging recreational activities
- Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or senior living
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly residents
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear background check and negative TB test results
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
