Location: Dallas, Texas
Responsibilities
- Patient Care Assistance: Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance to ensure daily living needs are met.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks and ensure their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes, concerns, and status updates to registered nurses and physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records and patient care logs in accordance with facility policies.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep patient rooms and care areas clean, safe, and organized to prevent infection and hazards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in basic life support procedures as directed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on patient empathy.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills for electronic health record (EHR) entry.
