Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Communicate changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Assist with light meal preparation and ensuring patients are well-hydrated and fed.
- Document care provided and patient observations in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Texas CNA Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug screening.
