Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Assist with light meal preparation and ensure a clean, safe, and organized living environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient needs and concerns.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered CNA license in the State of California.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in home health or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
