Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or Physician.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and reactions accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, patients, and families regarding patient status and care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergencies within scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the State of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
