We are looking for a reliable CNA to provide high-quality personal care and assistance to our clients in various residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility, including transferring patients safely to and from bed or wheelchair.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional plans.
- Document patient care activities, including incident reports and daily logs, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a home health, hospice, or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring patients.
- Reliable transportation to various client locations within New York.
